Afsan Salehi, RN, BScN

Lead Educator – Advanced Peripheral IV Cannulation | IBF Centre

Afsan Salehi is a Registered Nurse (RN) with over 20 years of clinical experience in intensive care (ICU, CCU, OR), cardiovascular nursing, and vein access. She is licensed in the province of Ontario and is an active member of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Afsan specializes in advanced peripheral IV cannulation for neonates, children, and adults. Her expertise is grounded in extensive clinical experience and evidence-based practice. Every technique she teaches is rooted in real-world experience and time-tested methods used in clinical settings.

As the lead educator at IBF Centre, she delivers both in-person and online training programs for licensed healthcare professionals. Her teaching approach emphasizes safety, clinical precision, and hands-on confidence—blending proven techniques with real-case application to ensure effective and reliable IV insertion. She is also known for her personalized coaching style and her ability to help learners build confidence, even in challenging IV scenarios.

Above all, her priority is to ensure IV safety and promote patient comfort throughout every procedure.
